Your Loyal Clients

One of the biggest concerns for new consumers is trusting a company’s product or service. Client testimonials are a great way to earn a potential customer’s trust. Your past clients can become your best marketing tool in establishing validity. A good, believable testimonial can bring a great return of investment.

Firstly- you get to be picky about which testimonials get to make it on your website. Choose testimonials that address your company by name or are specific to a product/service.

Client testimonials have to match your intended demographic. You shouldn’t post testimonials that are too generic or post just for the sake of it- this can deter customers’ trust.

The location of testimonials on your website is important as well. Two locations that experts have found to be a great conversion is on the product/services page or on the website’s sidebar.

You can also consider video testimonials because sometimes written testimonials can come off as dispassionate.

Innovation & Success

Innovation has been the driving-force for many companies to succeed - not only in the workplace, but to increase the longevity of a business.

One of the driving forces of creating innovative ideas are collaborating with your entire team. Create an environment that is based on an open approach to encourage the generation of ideas. Define what innovation means to your brand.

Next, of course, is transforming these ideas into actions. Acknowledge the strengths and opportunities that your innovative ideas can bring to your business. Don’t be afraid to take risks - think outside the box of what’s familiar to you and your company. Allow for failures or weaknesses in your action plan.

So how do you know your actions are working? Well, surely your company will turn over a profit. If others ‘copy’ your innovative approach - it’s a pretty good sign that you’re doing something right.

Measure your innovative approach by driving improvements, creating value and make an impact on your clients.

Advertising Your Next Event

If you’re planning an event, start by setting a goal. Usually it’s for a monetary profit - either a fundraiser, workshop or networking happy hour event. Make a note of who you’re trying to target - Young professionals? Families? This will help you in creating your event as well as market it effectively through social media. What will people get out of your event? - Entertainment? Awareness to your cause? Building a skill?

A catchy hashtag can be used across all social media platforms to market your event and allow your ‘followers’ to use it as well. Create shareable images or infographics with condensed information to broaden your reach. Share fun behind-the-scenes images of event preparations so your followers have visuals of what they have to look forward to.

If your event includes guest speakers - make sure to highlight their accomplishments and interesting facts about them.

If you’ve held a previous similar event, post images, videos or testimonials - so your followers have an idea of what to expect. Make sure to include a link to your website - there you can set-up a registration page with more information about your organization and company.

Always engage with anyone invited to your event - make sure to respond to comments or questions. Discounts or special promotions are a great incentive as well.

Happy planning!

Marketing Through Social Media

Companies seem to advertise a lot more on social media these days. From beauty products to a variety of services, social media pop-up promotions and advertisements are everywhere. To draw the most business from social media, you have to focus on either “likes” or consumers. Pay attention to the demographic of consumers on your followers list and understand their individual experience with internet buying. Brands have progressed through consumer engagement and curated content on social media. Small business or startups can take advantage of social media to introduce their brands. In general, social media content and advertisements have to reflect your bigger business objectives.

Print Media Is Still Alive

Since technology has burst onto the scene - everything has gone digital. From online shopping to advertisements, it seems that marketing through direct-mail is ineffective. However, statistics have shown that print ads have been favorable among consumers, specifically when making a purchase decision.

Why? Consumers often find that ads in digital form - whether it’s on social media or embedded into YouTube videos - can make them lose trust or interest. Computer or mobile marketing tends to be oversaturated and consumers tend to overlook or “skip” advertisements.

Storytelling is an effective approach that favors in print media. The key strength that has kept print marketing alive is transparency and honesty.
