The Perfect Red, White, and Blue BBQ

4th of July is just a few days away, and often is accompanied by the classic American BBQ. How do you throw the perfect BBQ with little effort, pleasing both the kids and adults?

Décor: You don’t have to go all out for everyone to be in the holiday spirit. Get 4th of July themed paper napkins and plates. Put red and white flowers on your tables and toss a blue ribbon around the vase. Use red and blue plastic cups. Jazz them up with patriotic printed straws.

Serve hotdogs and hamburgers. They’re easy to throw on the grill, and your guests will likely expect standard 4th fare.  Fruit and dessert are really easy to make patriotic. Put strawberry and bananas on skewers for the red and white stripe effect. Make a cake, frost it, and then use fruit or M & M’s to form an American flag.

Backyard games are almost a 4th of July staple. Put out a football, corn hole, KanJam, or spike ball to create some friendly competition.
