Georgetown is our home so we’re always excited when something fun is coming to our neighborhood! We can’t wait to go to The Georgetown French Market this weekend to celebrate the beginning of Spring. This Friday through Sunday, April 28-30 one of DC’s most anticipated shopping weekends is will open once again. Restaurants, merchants, galleries, outdoor vendors, and live entertainers will all be French themed Friday & Saturday from 10AM to 5PM and on Sunday from Noon to 5PM. Grab a coffee and a warm croissant and casually wander through the streets. You don’t have to leave DC to feel as though you’re on a Parisian vacation.

Are you a fan of Lin Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton? In the Heights is another one of Lin Manuel Miranda’s musical masterpieces and it’s coming to DC!

“This spirited musical by the creator of Hamilton tells a story of the love, hopes and heartbreaks of a tightly knit multicultural community on the brink of change in New York’s Washington Heights. Teeming with vivid neighborhood characters such as the romantically skittish bodega owner, attractive beautician, wise grandmother, and a young student and her culturally different boyfriend, the stage will sizzle with the urban energy of hip hop, salsa, and merengue.” -GALA Hispanic Theatre

Opening this weekend at the GALA Theatre, 3333 14th St NW, In the Heights will be shown entirely in Spanish for the first time! Noche de Gala will be this Saturday, April 22 and promises to be a entertaining and cultural night to celebrate the Latino culture!
