Our Process
DHM Media Group planned and executed Neighborhood Legal Services Program's first annual Reception Celebrating Community Partners for Justice for over 150 guests. All aspects of the event, including everything from invitations, speakers and entertainment, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres were handled by DHM. The event took place at the Blackburn Center at Howard University. Entertainment for the evening included jazz from Afro Blue and the Freddie Dunn Jr. Band, in addition to Community Partner Awards and a keynote speech from the District of Columbia Attorney, General Karl A. Racine. This event brought together leaders of the local DC legal profession, advocates for the underserved, as well as NLSP alumni, clients, and community partners. This event successfully celebrated members of the NLSP community and was lauded by all who attended.

DHM Media Group also planned and executed the Neighborhood Legal Services Program’s annual fundraising concert Justice Rocks 2016 for over 100 guests. From the theme and invitations to the entertainment and food, DHM handled all aspects of the event. The event took place at at Glover Park hotspot Mason Inn. Entertainment included Deaf Dog and the Indictments, and light hors d’oeuvres. They brought their unique mix of Motown, blues, and Rock ’n’ Roll to the concert. The event was a major hit for all who attended.

The Neighborhood Legal Services Program (NLSP) has been providing free civil legal services to Washington, DC's low-income residents for 50 years. The NLSP both protects fundamental necessities for individuals and families, and charts paths out of poverty for those affected. The NLSP provides assistance in the form of safe and affordable shelter, protection of victims of domestic abuse, access to healthcare and public benefits, as well as stabilizing family relationships and employment services. They also organize workshops and training programs for the community.
